We have come across a beautiful suite of cut crystal glassware made in England by the famous and very high quality firm of Thomas Webb. Very beautifully cut with cross cuts and fans, with a flat, cut foot and a sculptural stem, they are very elegant. The set has been well cared for, and all pieces are free of damage; the glass is very clear and luminous, and they ring with a melodic bell tone when gently tapped, as all fine crystal.Dating to the mid- 20th century, many people like thes...e fine pieces, as they are a little simpler and more refined than the overwrought cuttings of other makers of the time period, which convey some sensibility of the Victorian.
Each piece carries an etched signature, "WEBB, England" in the center underside of the base. Impossible to photograph, but easily seen in life.
