1980 39th Bing Crosby National Pro - Am Golf Decanter

Founded in 1937 Bing Crosby hosted the first National Pro-Am Golf Championship at Rancho Santa Fe Golf Club in San Diego. S am Snead won the first tournament.
In 1947 the event moved to Monterey where it was played at Pebble Beach Golf Links, Cypress Point Club and Mon...terey Peninsula Country Club.
The 1980 event, depicted in this decanter, was won by George Burns.
In 1991 the private Cypress Point Club was dropped by the PGA Tour because it would not admit an African-American member andwas replaced by Poppy Hills.
Notable professionals in recent years have included Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, and Jordan Speith. Celebrities have included Bill Murray, Kevin Costner, Tom Brady, Bill Belichick, Kenny G, Justin Timberlake and Ray Romano.
