Rarest & Highest Quality 19th Century Meissen Figurine Group
This highest quality figurine group is stunning and so very rare. It makes a pair with the equally rare model 001 Sea King group.
The figurine measures 20" tall x 22" x 10". The wooden base in the pictures is not available.
The figurine is actually seven individual pieces that are combined into this magnificent group....
The two-piece base was joined and fixed at the factory. A shell covers the join in the front.
The sea-foam base includes dolphins, shells, coral, sea satyrs, cherubs and a turtle.
The Sea Queen and her handmaiden holding coral are individual pieces that sit on top of the base.
The Sea Queen is riding in a sea chariot adorned with a sea shell front and there are ropes and dishes of pearls throughout the piece.
Three cherubs with shells and coral are bolted to the arching ribbon above the Sea Queen. The bolts were re-threaded before the latest assembly.
This piece has been carefully restored to its original perfect condition; most old Meissen pieces in pristsine condition have had some restoration.
This is simply a breath-takeingly beautiful expression of the extraordinary quality of Meissen porcelain.
The group will be packed in Pelican cases for shipping.
