A real pretty sapphire blue 1880s Harden's Hand Grenade Fire Extinguisher bottle with diamond quilted pattern and 4 feet on bottomHARDEN'S HAND GRENADE FIRE EXTINGUISHER (bold emb in circle on front of bottle)....PATENTED NO.1 AUG.8 1871 AUG 14 1883 (in circle on back) a large number 3 emb on bottom in middle of 4 large round feetHand blown in mold....rough ground sheared lip with hollow ring around neck....beautiful sapphire or peacock blue.....6 3/8"tall....Excellent condition with n...o chips or damage. Normal roughness/small chipping around the outer edge of ground sheared lip (was made this way). Shiny clean outside; light content residue coating inside surface. The bottle is empty... This "Fire Grenade" acted like a grenade....it was to be thrown at the base of a fire.
