The case has a fantastic carved Edwardian period design with the solid oak case which has a beautiful patina & colouring to it which displays wonderfully. The trunk has a hinged door with a lock and key, this gives you access to the weights and pendulum. The case has a removable sliding hood with a lockable hinged door to access the dialThe Clock Measures - 75.5 inches high x 17.75 inches wide x 12.5 inches deepDialThe clock has a 10.25 inch squared silvered dial with engraved roman numerals. The dial is in good original condition with its original engraved scroll decoration and is signed to the centre by the maker Maple of London. On the side of the dial it has a selection lever for the choice of chime or silentMovementThe clock has a rare English 8 day 1/4 striking triple weight driven musical movement which plays the westminster chime every 1/4 hour and on the hour after the musical chime has finished it will strike the amount of hours on a seperate gongThe movement comes with its 3 weights, pendulum and a winding keyCondition ReportThis clock is in great original condition and is in full working order.
