This is a black and white photograph is dated to circa 1920. This was taken at RAF "X".A.D. which was the code name for RAF Aboukir, Alexandria (Egypt). This shows a group of about 30 men. The drum identifies them as the STORES-DEPT R.A.F. JAZZ BAND
The provenance for this photograph was Private James Peek (b. circa 1900), service number 117278.He was serving from 1919-1923 at RAF Aboukir in Egypt as a Medical Officer.
This estate has been held for 15-20 years follow...ing Mr. Peek's death and this is the first time any of his estate photographs and documents have been offered for sale
