ITEM: This is a very nice high end art deco antique c. 1930 Belmet standing ashtray receiver. Conceived in a streamlined machine age modernist manner, this is really spectacular as seen in images here. The middle decorative area is mahogany wood with chromium banding, the base bulbous form of the ash receiver looks like wood as well but it is actually faux painted metal. This maker is best known for it's now iconic rolling Belmet Rollador ash-stands that were used on ships and trains. The ashtray top is mechanical as it moves down for ease in cleaning as seen in the second image.
Measures 24 1/2" tall and the base measures 8" in diameter, weighing just over 8 lbs.
CONDITION: Very good - fine condition with no major dents or issues this ashtray stand shows but very light signs of age and wear. Please use images here as your best condition report!!
Guaranteed to be 100% vintage and original from Grapefruit Moon Gallery.
