ITEM: This is a vintage and original 1931 Art Deco Machine Age Art Deco nude pin-up girl adorned vanity back lit free standing mirror. This rare and desirable polychrome painted over cast iron mirror was made by The Chicago Hardware Foundry Company and it is dated 1931. Really a cool antique treasure, which exhibits a dramatic streamlined modernist industrial design aesthetic. A pair of Follies Girl's kneeling as bookends to a large urn that serves as the focal point in a nod to the Burlesque shows of the era.
Measures 11 1/2" tall by 9" across the base - about 3 1/8" deep and fitted mirror measures 7" by 9" please know there is a red glow in the images here as the mirror is fitted with a red bulb which I will include with the mirror but this mirror is not physically tinted red.
CONDITION: In very good cosmetic condition as seen in detailed images provided here, which will serve as your best condition report. This works with the original bakelite socket still adhered on the back. There are some silvering issues to the glass mirror fitted piece and some edge wear as seen but most of the edge wear is concealed when the mirror is fitted in the polychrome painted cast iron housing.
