This is one of a number of photographs which date to the late 1920s and which were taken in British Colonial Africa: in both South Africa and Southern Rhodesia, now Zimbabwe. These photographs come from the estate of an un-named man who may appear in some of the photographs. They are a general record of images around the establishment of the Wankie Game Reserve (now Hwange National Park) in 1928 and the creation of Kruger National Park in 1926.All of these photographs were taken by the... same man and are an excellent record of British colonial life in Rhodesia and South Africa, with good cultural/ historical interest. This is a view which I believe shows a pair of entrance gates to Hwange, with the wagon-topped car seen with men in overcoats Format: 140 x 85 m AJ/KK
