An original letter written by Liuetenant Veal. The cover appears to be postmarked during the year of the Chinese Civil War, 1946. The letter has a picture of a dragon and mentions, Peiping China. This soldier was also in the military during World War Two. In one area he says, .......all of a sudden we got orders to put out a rail shipment, pull in a truce team #2.........The Nat's are about to take them ...and the Com's might pull out and take the team with them...............diplomacy doesn't work here at all, that is that I can see The whole thing is due to a lot of grey haried Col's trying to use diplomatic methods or young Chinese. I know one Chinese General who's 29 years of age................. The cover has the send to address of Salina Kansas. I currently have other letters listed that were written by this person.
