An original circa 1850's 1/6th plate size daguerreotype of a well done painting of a elderly man. The daguerreotype is in a half case which is marked by the daguerreotypist William Shew Of Boston. Image is in excellent condition being free of any scratches or wipes and it has old intact seals. Item is fresh to the market from the estate of a old time collector.
