An original large leather bound Civil War era CDV photograph album which contains two CDV's of soldiers in uniform one of which is backmarked by the photographer Fredericks New York. The album in addition to the soldier image contains slightly over 100 other images most being CDV's along with a few tintypes. Most images are Civil War era with some being 1870's. The CDV's when backmarked mostly were from the western part of New York State such as Ithaca etc. The album has lost its brass... clasps. The album has some wear to the leather and to the interior pages but the images are mostly fine with only some minor wear and soil. The images of the soldiers have slight clipping to their corners probably originally done to ease insertion in a CDV album. Album is fresh to the market from a old collection.
