This is a fresh CDV Albumrecently purchased in an Ohioantique show. It is full Civil War era CDV’s and tintypes. The album is filledwith 94 CDV's and tintype photos most of which have Ohio photographer’s back marks. The album was found at an estate sale in the Newark / Coshocton Ohio area.The album contains 6 uniformed Civil War soldiers, a ton of period well dressed civilians with many additional dignitaries that include presidents, buildings, and famous personaliti...es of the periodAll of the photos are inexcellent condition in an album that has been untouched for 100+ years. Although none of the soldiers are identified family lore places most of these soldier in the 62nd Ohio Volunteer Infantry. There ismuch more research to be done on this album. I haven’t even pulled out the mostof the photos to look on the back of them. The album is beautiful brownembossed leather that is warped from years of closed latches.. It is in very good solid conditionwith gilded brass trim and gold gilded page ends. Researching these familieswould be an excellent winter project.
