MICROSCOPE, VINTAGE RUSSIAN COLD WAR ERA, MECHANICAL ROTATING STAGE, 4 x OBJ, by LOMO Serial No 6512351This wonderful instrument is totally lacking in style, typical of the Russian 'cold war' era, but what it lacks in aesthetics it makes up for in quality! Lomo produced such fine optics that they were able to produce lenses for Carl Zeiss.This instrument comprises:- 1. Coarse & fine adjustment of body via rack & pinion and micrometer adjustment 2. Rotati...ng stage 3. Mechanical stage for smooth manipulation of slide in both x and y directions 4. Sub-stage condenser with iris diaphragm, 9 with its own height adjustment 5. Plano-concave mirror 6. Four way nose piece with four objectives: 9 x 0.20, 8 x 0.20, 40 x 0.65 and 90 x 1.25 (oil immersion) 7. Eye piece x 10Overall height: 14 inchesCondition: excellent, minor blemishes commensurate with ageTHIS IS A LOT OF MICROSCOPE FOR THE MONEY!NB There is no tailor-made case for this instrument but I could probably find one that fits, (I've got a lot)!
