An original antique 19th century applique album or signature quilt found in the State Of New York. The quilt measures approximately 80" by 92" and has each applique work block signed by its original maker. The appliques include a hen with chick, two love birds, basket w handle, star etc. The names on the blocks are as follows: Jessica Johnson, Hattie Stark, Hattie Brainerd, Caitlin Catella, Emma Hayden, Aunt Maria, Uncle Buckley, Mary Stark, Aunt Abbey, Aunt Sarah Ames, Huldah A Stark,... Ailzina, Ida Stark, Kidia Ayers, Aunt Sarah, Mrs H S Stark, Mrs Shelden Brainerd, Aunt Stark (80 years old), Aunt Eliza, Aunt Lois, Michael Johnson, Jimmey Catella, Nicky Catella and Betty Anton. The quilt has a combination of machine stitching on the border and hand stitching. Condition - quilt is in very nice condition with no stains and no fading with only a couple very small minor stitch repairs. Quilt is fresh to the market from a old estate in central New York State.
