OLD UNUSUAL FANCY CAST IRON GLASS TAIL LIGHTNING ROD BALL WEATHERVANE . Meas. approx. 22 3/4"L. Features UNUSUAL fancy design and retains it's original copper bronze ferrule with working set screw. We photographed both sides for your inspection, and as you can see there is good rust and pitting that only comes from 100+ years on the roof. The original maker and company of this vane still remains unknown to this day, even to the early collectors. This weathervane was designed... to fit the tube type rods and has a 5/8"D ferrule which will slip easily over almost all tube style rods. Overall condition good. Ferrule is rusted into arrow. VERY STRONG ODD FRAME. ROD NOT INCLUDED. Photos clearly show ANY and ALL condition issues. USE ZOOM FOR DETAILED DESCRIPTION.
