Authentic Mid-Century Long Gray Sofa Heavy Iron Frame. Overall in good shape, needs cleaning, from an old estate. This is an original mid-century modern sofa, probably vinyl not leather. Heavy iron frame, the back cushion rotates. Gray in color, the base is 34" wide and 74 1/2" long. The base cushion is 15" high, off the ground. The back cushion rotates back turning it into a sleeper sofa, see photos. It is 30" high at the back. The back cushion is 6" thick. The base cushion is 7 1/2" ...thick, still has firm cushion feel. The side arms are 16" by 4". There is an old repaired tear on back lower right side, covered by tape, see photos. The sofa is missing four of six original leg fittings, that hold the iron legs, see photos. The arm rests have a couple of small tears underneath. This sofa is designed similar to the Thayer Coggin/Milo Baughman black lounge chairs I sold a month ago. The sofa probably dates from the late 1950s to early 1960s. See my two red cushion chairs with iron frames found with this sofa, they have similar armrests so probably were made by the same company. Cushions are in good shape, but sofa needs overall cleaning, some white residue. Some surface rust on iron right side. I think this is a vinyl sofa not leather. Pick up only in Frederick, Maryland. Our residence is approximately 50 miles from Baltimore and/or Washington, DC. We are about 35 miles south of the PA border and near the US 15 and I-70/I-270 interchange.
