Up for sale is a very nice Charatan's Make 1/4 bent Freehand briar pipe stamped Charatan's Make / London, England / RARITY / Made by Hand. The medium-dark chestnut colored stain on this piece is highlighted by the relief-cut grain V-shaped panels on each side of the bowl. The vulcanite bit is shiny black yet exhibits some light oxidation due to its age. The CP stamp on the mouthpiece is faint yet still legible. There are some light tooth impression on the top &... bottom of the mouthpiece (nothing too deep but should be noted). The rusticated rim exhibits some slight darkening. This specimen is quite lightweight and should be an excellent smoking instrument. The dimensions are: length = 6 1/2" X height = 2 3/8" X width = 1 3/4" The weight = approx. 1 1/2 ounce (45 grams)I’m selling this pipe for a dear old friend who wants to thin his herd of smoking pipes after many years of collecting & smoking. I'm listing this one as a Buy It Now item as me thinks we'll find it a new home soon at this price. Thanks for looking and please keep an eye on my future listings as I’ll be selling more pipes in the weeks & months ahead. God bless.
