Classic Leica IIIA rangefinder camera. Serial#171297. Made in Germany circa. 1936-1937. Original chrome finishwith matching chrome lens. Black leather covering. Shutterspeeds are: 1/20, 1/30, 1/40, 1/60, 1/100, 1/200/, 1/500, 1/1000 and B.Slow speeds are: 1/2, 1/4, 1/8, 1/20 and T. Shutter curtainsare replacement and in good working order. Cosmetic condition is Ex+/Ex++ or 8/8.5 out of 10. No dents or dings.Top plate... is very clean with only a few minor marks. Few bright marks on thebottom plate. Clean and bright ViewFinder. Working and accurate rangefinder.Original leather cover without missing pieces and in very goodshape. Smooth film advance. Original take-up spool. All originalknobs and handles. Shutter seems to be working well. We do not know the previous service history of this camera. Leica chrome collapsible Elmar5cm f/3.5collapsible lens. Serial #432600. Focusing from 1 meter. Aperture from f/3.5 to f/18. Non-coated glass. Cosmeticcondition is Ex or 8 out of 10.No dents or dings. Clean glass (for age).. Optics have been cleaned. Only very slight haze around the edge of the lens, and some small dust spots inside that can be seen with a flashlight only. This will not affect your photos. Smooth aperture blades. Smooth focusing.
