Beautiful Leica IIIB rangefinder camera. Serial#283979. Made in Germany in 1939. Original chrome finishwith matching chrome lens. Shutter speeds are: 1/20, 1/30, 1/40, 1/60, 1/100, 1/200/, 1/500, 1/1000 and B. Slow speeds are:1 sec, 1/2, 1/4, 1/8 and T. Shutter, and curtains are in good working order. We do not know the previous service history of this camera. Cosmetic condition is Ex or 8 out of 10.No dents or di...ngs. Top plate is in fairly clean condition with a rub mark near the viewfinder. Some marks on the bottom plate. Clean and bright ViewFinder. Workingand accurate rangefinder. Original leather cover without missing pieces and invery good shape. Smooth film advance. Original take-up spool.All original knobs and handles. Some brassing on the front of the slow speed dial. Camera comes with a Leica leather case. Leica Leitz Summar5cm f/2collapsible lens. Serial #481612. Focusing from 1.1 meter. Aperture from f/2 to f/12.5. Non-coatedglass. Cosmetic condition is Ex- or 7 out of 10. No dents or dings. Some haze inside. Cleaning marks on the front element. Some small dust spots inside that can be seen with a flashlight only. Aperture blades work fine, but can turn a little stiff sometimes. Smooth focusing.
