For your consideration is this charming antique German wax face Santa with painted spun cotton clothes and seated on a wood sled. Marked: GERMANY on an inside blade of the sled. Santa's boots are also made of wax. This may have been a candy container as the top half of Santa can be lifted. I have not attempted to completely remove the top as it seems to be somewhat attached near the back. The piece must have been stored in a hot place which has distorted S...anta's face. I have read that this can be repaired by heating the face and pushing it back into shape but I have not attempted to do it. The wax boots are in good condition. Not many of these have survived! Please see above condition description and photos for further detail. The sled is about 5 inches long and 1-7/8 inches wide.
