The drawing, executed in red chalk on laid paper, depicts a mythological scene, showing the drunken Silenius, being supported by a nymph and sathyrs.
Authorship : the drawing is from the Flemish School, attributed to the circle of Anthony Van Dyck (Antwerp 1599 - London 1641). We think the artist should be found in the circle of printmakers, active in Antwerp during the first half of the 17th century.

Size : 26, 8x22, 5cm.
Condition : Good. Some scattered dirt throughout. Laid down on a paper support. Top corner right : slight traces of folding. Unframed.
