Clone of famous Dynaco ST-70, 35 watts per channel
Multi-voltage, 120 and 220 Volts
Recently serviced and operates perfectlyBeautiful vintage Goldox vacuum tube stereo amplifier from my vintage audio collection. Amp was used very lightly, only turned on periodically to ensure smooth operation. It's very rare, I never seen another one on eBay.
I'm not sure of the exact age of the unit. Based on the appearanc...e of the unit, I would guess mid or late 1990's, between 1995-2000.
I found 2 great reviews (2000 & 2001) in AudioReview.com. This is a clone of famous Dynaco ST-70 tube amp, which has perfect reputation. Multi-voltage. It's multi-voltage amp, so it's automatically adjusts to 120V in US and to 220V in other countries.Serviced recently. The unit has been serviced by a technician and has been shown to be operating properly. Cosmetic condition. Amp is basically Mint. It these 20-25 years it was used very little. Functional condition. Tested and everything operates great. Great match with large Klipsch Heritage speakers (Forte, Cornwall, Belle).
Very musical, absolutely great. No any issue. 100% functional.
Crystal clear sound, no distortion, no hum. Channels are equal. Clean 35 watts per channel.
Tubes have very little hours. One power transformer and two output transformers. Even after long play, transformers stay cold. What I particularly like it better than ST-70:
1. High Built quality. Chassis is larger than original ST-70 (about 3” longer and about 1” deeper) and about 3 lb heavier (weight whopping 35 lb).
2. Amp doesn't need anything. Plug & Play ready. This is contrary to old ST-70 amp from 1960's, that needs total overhaul by now.
3. Amp is gorgeous, with beautiful Stainless Steel chassis. It's much more attractive than ST-70 nickel plated steel chassis. Gold trim - gold knobs (they are heavy solid metal knobs, not plastic), gold feet, gold RCA plugs, etc.
4. Amp has modern speaker terminals (suitable for banana plugs, spade terminals, or bare wire), much easier to work with that ST-70 bare screw terminals.
5. Stainless Steel Amp perfectly matches my vintage silver-faced audio gear.
All these differences are appearance, but this is important to me because this tube amp looks really cool, much cooler then original ST-70. 7 tubes: All tubes are Chinese military production tubes. They are fantastic tubes with great reputation.
