Listing is for a Pair of 2 Victorian era iron swing out stools. It must be noted that these do Not have the mounting brackets so the buyer will either have to find some mounts that will work or have some custom made. These tuff to find stools are marked on the underside “J.J. Wilson Maker New York” and also “Pomeroy’s Patent May 2? 1867” (AKA: The American Store Stool Co.) These stools are in as found condition and I have not cleaned these in any way. The wood seats still hav...e the original fabric coverings but are obviously worn. With the exception of wear to the wood underneath the coverings the wood seats are solid. It must be pointed out, and best seen in picture #8 that it looks as though there is a void in the casting on the underside of one of the iron mounting area. This likely came from part of the casting process and since has been filled long ago. Either after production or by someone after. There are no cracks or breaks around this area. There are no cracks or breaks on these swing arms that I see at all and are in solid condition. What is really cool about these is that they are spring loaded and lock in place while in use for sitting, and they also have the availability to have the seats tilt up so the stool can be swung flat against a wall or piece of furniture. Listing is for the pair of 2 but I will consider breaking them up and selling 1 at a time.Dimensions are approximately 21” from the mounting area where the brackets would go to the very end of the arms. A distance of 17-1/2” from top of mounting bracket area to the bottom mounting bracket area. Diameter of the wood seat is 11-1/4” across. It appears you will need a mounting bracket with a 3/4” opening or slightly larger to fit these. Shipping is from my zip code to yours via UPS, and the wood seats will be removed to fit safely into the shipping box. Please, ask any and all questions you may have. These are large and heavy. Local pick-up welcome.
