The one-piece gloss-finished maple neck has a classic medium C shape with just enough roundness in the shoulders and overall profile depth to give it a substantial, comfortable feel. The profile measures .850” deep at the 1st fret and .942” at the 12th. The original slender vintage-style frets are in great shape, showing virtually no wear up the 25 1/2” scale gloss maple board, playing cleanly in all registers. The fretboard has a vintage 7 1/4" radius, and the nut measures 1 5/8" in width. On the headstock, the original Kluson-style tuning machines turn very smoothly and hold pitch well.
All of the electronics work as they should with flat alnico pole pieces on the bridge pickup and a three-way blade pickup selector wired to the upgraded CTS potentiometers. The pair of American Vintage Tele single coils with cloth covered leads read just shy of 7k ohms each. The body showcases the colorful impressionistic bouquet of the Blue Flower finish, with a transparent single-ply pickguard that has a subtle blue burst around the neck pickup and guard edge. The vintage-style three saddle bridge has a string-through body design with aluminum saddles, and the chrome hardware is particularly clean on both the control plate and bridge. Cosmetically, this guitar has been well cared for, showing a few light scratches in the clear coat and shallow nicks and dings around the edges of the body, but no serious wear of any kind. The smooth gloss finish on the neck profile remains pristine.
Overall, this is a very well-kept Fender ‘69 Blue Flower Telecaster with upgraded electronics, all tended to and ready for the budding artist.
A Fender black tolex deluxe G&G hardshell case with red plush interior and Fender tail logo on the exterior is included.
