ITEM: Original WWII Letter from FRANLIN STURGEON of the of the 455th Bomb Squadron, 323rd Bombardment Group in England to Mrs. Walter Worman (his sister Virginia/"Ginny") in Salem, Ohio. Five hand-written pages dated 21 May 1945. Sturgeon writes about how censorship of letters has just been lifted since the end of the war in Europe. He t...hen goes into detail about where and when he traveled to England, France, Germany, etc. since before that info was censored. He also writes about his points for being able to come home. Sturgeon, of Salem, Ohio, US Army S/N 14104025, who was in the Armament & Bomb Sight Section, 455th Bomb Squadron, 323rd Bombardment Group in England, France, and Germany during WWII.
