Here is a great old 1990 Gibson Les Paul Custom Black Beauty. It was built in Gibson’s Nashville plant and finished on October 15th 1990. It has a lovely smooth Ebony fingerboard, not richlite as Gibson have used of late. Maple top mahogany body & neck.It has absolutely no breaks, repairs or mods. It has a comfortable ’59 profile neck and comes at 4.8kg.It has its original Gibson PAFs which sound fine. Never had a refret so still has its fret-end b...inding. Lots of life left in the frets, the truss rod is fine and the neck is dead straight. A nice low action. No problems either structurally or electrically. It’s ageing very nicely with yellowed binding and checking in the nitrocellulose paint. There are a few small dings here & there but nothing harsh or out of the ordinary for a 30-year old custom. The metal parts have taken on a nice vintage patina and there is plenty of finish checking in the nitro, especially in the headstock front. All good ageing, nothing bad has ever happened to her. She’s well along the road to being a real vintage classic. Complete with original tan Gibson HSC which good condition with combi lock & all latches working fine. A beautiful 30 year-old custom!
