Mosaic Tile Brass Handwrought Modernist Pitcher
From estate storage a mid 20th century
handwrought brass pitcher with brightly colored
glass tesserae tile inlay in modernist design.
Hecho En Mexico by Salvador Vaca Teran (1920-1974).
Salvador Teran is considered an exceptional
modernist designer who worked for William Spratling
in the 1930s and later became a founding member
of Los Castillos, the renown...ed Taxco workshop.
Size: 8” high x 8” wide
This example is in overall good pre-owned condition as shown
with residue stain to the interior noted.
It appears the handle once had tiles that are now absent.
