This is a Royal Copenhagen figure of a boy with calf - model number 772 - which stands 6 1/2 inches high and measures 7 inches long. This figure was designed by Christian Thomsen who was one of the most prolific modellers who worked for Royal Copenhagen producing over 100 animals, birds and figures such as this one and his signature mark is to be found on the side of the base at the rear. Underneath you can sese the Royal Copenhagen trademark with the model numb...er 772 below - there is a small bar below the letter "C" in the word Copenhagen which indicates that this figure was made in 1962. There is great attention to detail on this figure from the way the boy is struggling to hold the calf to the markings on the calf. The condition is good with no chips, cracks, damage or restoration and the colours are bright and crisp with no loss or scratches. Please excuse any photo flashes or reflections.
