WW2 ETO Company G, 502nd Parachute Infantry Regiment PARATROOPER Letter to
WIA G/502 101st AIRBORNE DIVISION Letter (plus GI's 1943 Dependents forms)
-an extremely WELL-traveled ETO APO 'Buddy' letterwritten on a V-MAIL form but NOT photo-stat'ed-Censor Officer signed-franked FREE-heavy APO re-direct stampings
G/502 Paratrooper in Great Britain US Army 307th Station Hospital / 826th Convalescent Centerwhich was designated (seen on his return address): US Army Hospita...l Plant 4167 (U.S.A.H.P. 4167).he was in Co. T, Detachment of Patients. APO 514 (Stoneleigh Park UK) England-note his letter contents mentions 'arm' at only 90-degree angle and cannot straighten out.
Also 'sweating it out' and trying to make it back to his outfit.-Possible he got hit during Arnhem Op Market Garden.....
-Paratrooper is writing to his CO. G/502 PIR buddy.
-letter heading dated 01 JAN 1945-mentions reading about the Screaming Eagles in the STARS & STRIPES.....probably aboutthe BATTLE of the BUGLE engagement. ....asking about some mutual buddies.-his buddy's APO 472 (101st A/B DIV) 18 DEC 1944 - 03 APR 1945 is located in BELGIUM

the heavy amount of 're-direction' .....apparently his buddy was finally sent to
ASF Convalescent Hosp. Camp Lockett CA. via New York. would suggest healso got wounded Battle of Bugle?
-bears more research! possible both troopers made the D-Day jump(?)
