Art Deco French Chandelier Ezan Glass
A large French art deco era chandelier around 1930-1935 in nickel plated brass and solid bronze. In the early days of art deco France produced precious fixtures in high quality bronze with shades from the best French glass factories such as Ezan.In the mid 1930s, French producers changed their style and produced lights in this modernist look called art deco. These beautiful lamps often had opalescent shades in b...luish semi-crystal by the Ezan glass company. This beautiful chandelier has a six-armed body with its arms in solid bronze. There six brass cups that hide the sockets and a 7th glass cup covers the socket beneath. A breathtaking example of the unparalleled artistry of French Art Deco lighting.The chandelier is in excellent condition for its age. The fixture has been rewired for the American market and comes with original B22 bayonet mount sockets.There is one tiny, barely visible hairline crack in one of the cups. The Chandelier would need a good cleaning which would bring back much of its original luster.All sales final.
