LOVELY PAIR ENGLISH ANTIQUE 1928 STERLING SILVER & GUILLOCHE ENAMEL JARS POTS
Item History & Price
Date English antique Art Deco solid sterling silver with a full set of English silver hallmarks for Birmingham 1928 (date letter "D"). Excellent clear struck readable marks on both lids. Maker Silversmiths initials "A.C", (Albert Carter - (1917-1958). Condition Lovely condition, with no splits or cracks to the silver, no solder repairs, definitely no wear holes and no knocks or dents, a very nice pair. Most importantly, the beautiful blue guilloche enamelling is still in great condition, one is absolutely perfect, one has what looks to have a small manufacturing flaw just on the side edge rim, nothing at all bad, (see last 2 photos). There are no surface scratches, the gilded finish is undamaged and they look almost unused. The glass bases are also in lovely condition. Very nice quality and a beautiful colour enamel. Beautiful matching pair of English antique Art Deco solid sterling silver & blue guilloche enamel rouge or powder jars/pots.
