Description A beautiful matching pair of English antique Art Deco solid sterling silver & blue guilloche enamel rouge or powder jars/pots by the silversmith Albert Ca...rter - (1917-1958) in lovely condition and with a full set of English silver hallmarks for Birmingham 1928. Excellent quality genuine 91 year old pair; each have clean faceted glass bases and are complete with their original tight fitting silver gilt pull-off lids both decorated with stunning blue enamelling. There are no added personal engraved inscriptions or monograms. Honestly look hardly used.Measurements They measure 1.3 inches (34mm) in diameter and are 1.2 inches (30mm) in height.
Date English antique Art Deco solid sterling silver with a full set of English silver hallmarks for Birmingham 1928 (date letter "D"). Excellent clear struck readable marks on both lids. Maker Silversmiths initials "A.C", (Albert Carter - (1917-1958). Condition Lovely condition, with no splits or cracks to the silver, no solder repairs, definitely no wear holes and no knocks or dents, a very nice pair. Most importantly, the beautiful blue guilloche enamelling is still in great condition, one is absolutely perfect, one has what looks to have a small manufacturing flaw just on the side edge rim, nothing at all bad, (see last 2 photos). There are no surface scratches, the gilded finish is undamaged and they look almost unused. The glass bases are also in lovely condition. Very nice quality and a beautiful colour enamel.
