Vintage Akai GX4000D Stereo Reel To Reel 2 speed Tape Player/Recorder, Very Clean, Works and Looks Nice!. Condition is Used. Please read full description.Please read I bought this at an estate sale and used it to transfer old family recordings to my computer. It works perfectly, and sounds great. I only found 2 minor issues, there are some cosmetic scratches on the tape head cover and the take up reel spindle is slightly bent. This does not affect playback operation. The take up spindl...e reel holder still works fine and the take up reel itself does not wobble during playback, only the spindle outer shaft wobbles slightly. Take up reel is not included. Cosmetically the player unit and wood grain covers are in very good condition. Please inspect photos carefully as they are part of description.NOTE; Because of the age of this unit, I would recommend to replace all the drive belts which I have seen here on ebay. I do not know the service history of this unit. Although the unit is working properly right now, old belts can fail at any time.
