A very small illlustrated trade card, about 2.25 by 3.5 inches, advertising E.M. Hunt & Co, a coal and wood kindling merchant in Providence Rhode Island. On the back is a comic lithographed illustration, titled 'A Forced Race', showing a group of boys, black and white, who have been caught by a policeman swimming without clothes, and who are running away leaving them behind. A sign says "Bathing minus Tights strictly forbidden" and at the top is a quotation from Shakespeare: "He wo...uld not have left me naked to my enemies". Below the picture is the poem: Stripped for the race, And with every good grace, Hunt's Coal takes position, Which defies competition. See photos.
