This listing features a transverse cut vintage stand up display specimen of beautiful agatized petrified wood with a pleasing bog type inclusion ribbon running through the display face and showing much pink coloration within the grain originating from the McDermitt, Nevada area within the Owyhee Mountains! The display fossil wood is highly agatized and nearly opaque with wood growth structure preserved in highly pigmented dark brown, tan, gray, black, pink and cream colored agate. There is some ...really attractive opal on the exterior of fossil wood. The cut petrified wood specimen is cut to reveal three faces with one base to allow the wood to stand upright for display. In addition, it has a naturally terminated circumference with excellent bark detail. All photographs were taken while the specimen was wet excluding the final three photographs which show the specimen while dry. The exquisite, vintage display piece weighs 1 pound 13.8 ounces exactly and measures 155mm by 98mm by 55mm thick. I will combine shipping for multiple purchases as long as the specimens can be packaged in a manner that minimizes the potential for damage.
