It measures 77" by 75" across, so it is practically square; it weighs one oz shy of 3 lbs, so it is rather light weight in spite of being all cotton, and the reason is the quilt is very thin, as many antique quilts are.
The bed is a queen, 80" by 60".
The fabrics are all cotton in very nice color combinations. The piecing and quilting were done by hand.
The "quadrants" or square corner blank blocks have a quilted square whose body was done in a hanging diamond patt...ern and on the borders and corners of those squares the makers quilted some kind of flower that we have not identified: please check close-ups # 9 and 10 to see this detail.
