This beautiful old quilt measures 93" by 74" across and weighs 4 lbs 3/4 oz un-boxed. The bed is a queen, 80" by 60".
The quilt looks better in person than in the photos.
It was pieced by hand, then quilted by hand; the batting must be cotton, given its weight.
The quilting stitches, or at least what we believe to be quilting stitches, are a bit peculiar, and that's why we decided to take a close-up pic and post it here: check please photo # 12 and see by yourself.... Please be advised we are no experts and what we found "peculiar" could be just "regular".
The fabrics are all cotton, but no feed sacks were used. One of them has a "novelty" print of hats.
We combine shipping.
