Antique Bank Enamel METAL BOX ~Cash, Safe, Deed Box. This box has a combination lock which we do not know the combination to. There is a 3 compartment insert with lids for each compartment. Two lids are hinged onto the insert and the middle lid is removable.Box also has a name plate on front of lid. Walter L. HoodHas signs of age and prior use. There are some scratches, paint loss & fading, some dings and dents. There is old tape on one side. I didn't try removing it.Not sure ...what type of metal this is. A magnet sticks to it.Measures 10 1/2" long, 7" wide, 4 1/4" high (including closed lid)Weighs over 3 pounds.Picture 12 shows some patent information found on the inside of box on the backside of lock.Nice old box!I buy most of my pieces at auctions, flea markets & yard sales so I don't know the history of the item.
