Antique Bank Enamel METAL BOX ~Cash, Safe, Deed Box with working keyHas signs of age, patina and prior use. There are some scratches, paint loss & fading, some dings and a dent on the side of the lid (see photo 11). The key does work properly and locks & unlocks the box. There are no rust holes. The box is all black with a gold tone design on the lid, the handle as well as the top edge around the box. The top of the lid has indented/bend/crimp from each corner going towards the... center of the lid to handle which is part of the design to the box. A magnet does attract to the box. Measures 8 3/4" x 5 7/8" x 3 1/4". Weighs 1 pound (prior to packaging)The key is marked: EAGLE LOCK CO. , TERRYVILLE CONN. USA. The key also has signs of patina.I buy most of my pieces at auctions, flea markets & yard sales so I don't know the history of the item. I am not an antique dealer or expert.
