This Heavy 8.1 Gram (0.29 Ounce) Over 1/4 Ounce 12k Solid Rose & Green Gold and Solid Sterling Silver Ring is set with a Stunning 14x12mm RARE ORANGE & CHOCOLATE Matrix Natural Kingman Mine Turquoise cabochon. This Turquoise is natural and not color enhanced in any way. The Kingman mine in northwestern Arizona is one of the largest turquoise mines. Kingman blue is common, this Kingman is a STUNNING TIFFANY BLUE with an AMAZING RARE ORANGE & CHOCOLATE Matrix not commonly found in most Kingman Turquoise. Natural Kingman is highly collectible. The pattern in this turquoise formed when water infiltrated the turquoise and then oxidized iron worked into the crevices. Then over time pressure collapsed the matrix packing the orange formations tightly. In the late 1880’s to the early 1900’s, Kingman Turquoise was mined by the Aztec Turquoise Co., the Los Angeles Gem Co., Arizona Turquoise Co., Southwest Turquoise Co. and Mineral Park Turquoise Co. The Kingman mine re-opened in September 2004 after being closed in the 1970’s. This Turquoise is a Rectangular Domed Cabochon Cut. Cabochon refers to a gemstone that has been shaped and highly polished instead of being faceted. This Solid Sterling Silver setting has great Solid 12k Rose & Green Gold Leaf reticulated accents on the sides. Green Gold is a gold rarely used that is a bright yellow with a very slight green tint. This ring looks to be a contemporary Black Hills Gold creation with turquoise. This Ring is a HEAVY and Substantial 8.1 grams (0.29 Ounces) Over 1/4 Ounce in Weight.
