In the Original Box - Parfum Shocking de Schiaparelli Fashion Designer of Paris France - 1920's-40's
Beautifully preserved Bottle in the form of a Dressmakers Manequin ... with Glass multi-colored Flowers around the top, inside a glass dome.
Made in France - 0.75 oz. bottle size There is only about 1/5 th liquid inside and it appears to be very concentrated... no doubt due to age, evaporation, and/or use. I have NEVER opened this bottle nor used it nor even displayed it. I obtained this back in the 1980's when living in New Orleans and have had it wrapped and stored safely away all these decades...in a smoke free home.
The box is in pretty good condition, some of the protective plastic covering is yellowing and pealing off. The Dome fits securely inside. The Flowers all look in good shape. All the ribbons and lace look fine.
Schiaparelli had a fabulous fashion life in Paris hanging out with the Dada artists between the 2 World Wars. She collaborated with Salvador Dali. Giacometti. and Jean Cocteau. Coco Chanel was her greatest rival. Although they created totally different styles.
