Two different Sterling Pilsner Beer empty flat top beer cans by Sterling Brewers Inc., Evansville, IN. These are two of three different Sterling flat top beer cans I have listed this week. The brewery operated from 1933-1964. Can to left in picture: Bottom opened; clean & solid; sharp colors; mostly clean seam, clean lids; grade one; few very minor scattered markings, but one on face side keeps me from grading it a 1/1+. The marking is best shown in the 7th close up pictu...re. An example is pictured on page 136-37 (it could be page 136-36, the pictures look identical) of the USBC book. Can to right in picture: Bottom opened; clean & solid; sharp colors; mostly clean seam, clean lids; scattered markings, the worst shown in the last close-up picture; but still a grade one in my estimation. This can has a beautiful brightly colored vanity lid; An example is pictured on page 136-38 of the USBC book.
