Original Description:
Superb collectible 6 inch antique Geographia desk globe. Original papier-mâché globe held in place by a brass meridian, and mounted on an ebonized turned stand. Shows the British empire marked in red, and major ferry routes with distances, also shows Istanbul as Constantinople. Made by Geographia Limited, Fleet Street, London. Overall great original condition, with few minor blemishes to globe, there are what looks to be faint paint splatters which I’m sure could be removed, I have... not wanted to try myself, or even polish the brass.
Measurements:Approx total height - 12.5in.Approx diameter of base - 5in.
