A VINTAGE JOHN GOSNELL & Co, LONDON, QUEEN VICTORIA PICTORIAL, CHERRY TOOTH PASTE POTLID and ORIGINAL BASE POT that date back to the c1870s to late 1880s period that have been found buried in a domestic rubbish tip a few years ago. THIS LID IS THE EARLIER VERSION WITHOUT LTD the company then added LTD to all their lids after the early c1890s. The domed potlid measures 8cm in diameter across the face and 4cm high when on the base pot. Both lid and base ...are in GOOD FAIR CONDITION although the lid has some light glaze crackling on the flange edge, the base pot fits perfectly and is in GOOD FAIR CONDITION with a small nick on the inner flange as pictured above. I am quite happy to combine purchases for buyers to help save money on postage and shipping costs etc.
