VINTAGE E.L. LONASEE ZUNI TURQUOISE BRACELET STERLING SILVER 925 NATIVE AMERICAN
This lovely petit point cuff bracelet was created b...y the husband and wife team of Ellen and Lawrence Lonasee, a Zuni couple who started making jewelry in the 1950s, according to Bille Hougart's book, The Little Book of Marks on Southwestern Silver. The degree of precision displayed here just amazes me, from the snugly fitting sawtooth bezels around each slender stone, to the applied roping on the side, to the tiny beads of silver between the stones. Beautiful, masterful work. There are 20 stones in total, 18 in the middle and 2 on the sides.
It would fit about 6-3/4" but can be bent a little bigger or smaller.
