BEAUTIFUL EARLY 19th CENTURY LINEN DRAWN THREAD EMBROIDERY LACE PANEL, LABEL 239 ... Click images to enlarge Description This is a beautiful piece of early 19th century (I think) fine drawn threadwork on linen, beautifully and simply done, unless it is a lace technique I am not aware of. At first glance it looks like filet lace but a closer inspection shows it to be drawn thread. It has a paper label pinned to it, I am not sure what this says.
The condition is mostly quite good, minor wear, an interesting piece piece for a collection or to study..It measures about 18" by 14" or 45.5 cms by 35.5 cms, thank you for looking.
