This is a beautiful piece of 17th century cutwork/drawn thread embroidery/lace made from hand loomed linen in a design typical of the period with large florals and tiny birds and animals, the animals look like either rabbits or deer but I'm not sure.I think it was most likely a vestment cloth of some sort, it came in a bag containing various pieces of quite early lace and embroidery.
The condition is: mostly good condition with a few marks and minor wear, see photosIt measures abour 19.5" by 4.5" or 49.5 cm by 11.5 cm., thank you for looking.
