Original Description:
Authentic of the Victorian era.....French in origin....pure silk fiber content.....quality silk taffeta (not flimsy thin)...no rips, tears, stains, nor any signs of deterioration or brittleness.  Salvaged from a 19th century bodice/jacket.  Rich aubergine/eggplant shade.    This will pleat, gather very tightly...it will also pouf and stay in place...swooshing sound when handled.... Lovely textile fragment.
This measures approximately 10.5" directly below curved p...ortion of arm - 23.5" top-to-bottom edge running length of tiniest tad over 1/16" original selvedge x 8" across top edge - 10.5" (at curved portion of arm) - 10 1/4" (midpoint) - 13" across bottom edge.
It is being sold "AS IS".
