Original Description:
Loveliest, delicate antique early 1900s pure silk taffeta trim; gorgeous, shimmering pure silk taffeta trim in wonderful condition salvaged from a 19th century gown. It is a fine pure silk taffeta - crisp and with a lovely shimmer.  The trim is hand-scalloped and is slightly gathered with fine, tiny silk threads. The ruffle is in very good condition with no signs of deterioration or brittleness.  There are a few areas where there may be silk thread weakness as ...well as some tiny scalloped areas missing along top edge, however, all in all, it is quite useable for one's project.  Suitable for the doll costumer of French fashions.  Photo 1 represents its shimmering quality the best.  Photos 1, 3-4 are actual trim being sold in auction.  
Please NOTE that item being sold in auction is for scalloped trim only. NOT upper portion which was from previous auction and actually damaged.
This measures approximately 45" x 2" (RUFFLE ONLY);NOT UPPER PORTION OF DAMAGED SILK SHOWN IN PHOTOS.
