VERY RARE EARLY 19th CENTURY ENGLISH HOLLIE POINT BONNET INSERTION c1810 345 ... Click images to enlarge Description This is a very rare, beautiful little early 19th century Hollie Point English needlepoint lace and whitework insertion for a baby's bonnet. It would have been gathered onto the back of the bonnet, I'm not sure if one tiny panel of whitework is missing, or whether it would have been made like this for gathering and shaping purposes.
There are 4 individual Hollie Point insertions, and 4 white work ones, see photos.
It measures about 4" by 3" or about 10 cm by 7.5 cm. The condition is mostly good with some minor wear, see photosThank you for looking.
